It’s a Park City tradition. The Scarecrow Festival. The trail by McPolin Farm is now lined with scarecrows created by locals. It’s colorful, whimsical, current, and happy-making. As part of my hiking routine, I find myself going by McPolin Farm multiple times a week. And right now, that path is populated with people of all ages, taking in what others have constructed. From an astronaut with it’s own space ship, to a tribute to RBG, to an embodiment of our current world challenge, the subjects are varied and the efforts are appreciated. To stroll through the scarecrows with a backdrop of fall colors is brilliant. It’s whimsical and joyful. And hey, it’s outside, so it feels safe. Being in Park City at any time is a gift. Being here during the current nuttiness and having all this beauty at our doorstep, plus all of the options for things to do outside is beyond a gift. Love that the Scarecrow Festival lives on. If you want to get in on the fun, the Scarecrow Festival is happening now and runs thru October 25, 2020. Cheers to your next visit, Your Resort Resident NOTE: In keeping with Joint Public Health Order 2020-08, face coverings are required and PPE (face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer) will be provided on site as well as social distancing. Please leave pups at home.
